Yaaaaa
The other day I was searching fanmade pokemon trainers on DA and run into
this fun piece where the person had designed children for the canon characters. Now I don't support any pokemon pairings, but the thought inspired me to draw children in a similar mindset as well. Except I wasn't really trying to create new characters; this was just an excuse to design more clothes like in the "alt outfits" series, and this time it was even a slightly different subject when I had more than one outfit for reference. Of course it makes no sense that the outfits of the kids are
ripped from based on the outfits their parents wore in their teenage years, but let's not fuss over it as that was the whole point of the drawing to begin with.
But anyway, I decided to start with Bianca since she was undoubtedly the most fun during the "alt outfit" project, and Cheren was the easy choice for the husband. I'll (probably) draw some other pokemon pairings as well of the characters that aesthetically interest me enough as a pair (or who are the obvious choice, such as the female/male player characters from the same game). Daughters will be shamelessly favoured ove sons since girls are so much more fun to draw, and there will probably be unnaturally many twins since they're even more fun.
While designing the kids was fun I hadn't yet realised that I was actually planning to draw the father as well, which caused problems since I have next to no experience on drawing men. I guess I can start practising now...? Anyway I get an A for effort for not just throwing him out of the picture. I don't really know if either of the parents looks old enough to have a teenage daughter, but it's anime so it should ok.
Bianca is now a pokemon professor. Cheren... he can be a gym leader or pokemon teacher or something (never cared for him). Cheren was not a pleasant project at all, in addition to being a man he had a boring and unhelpful design and a difficult colourscheme. Bianca's outfit turned out pretty boring too, but I've
already given her four more interesting designs and she's supposed to be an adult woman now so no crazy accessories (and I can only create childish designs).
The oldest daughter is around the same age as the player characters in Black & White. I like her hair but she got the short end of the stick when it came to colourschemes. The son is the same vaguely ten-year-old as the player character in most of the games.
