Description

Uhohohoho I've now entered an Avatard phase~~~

Aang - Katara - Sokka - Toph - Zuko from Avatar the Last Airbender, as Pokemon trainers. Other poketrainer drawings can be found here. My thoughts on them have migrated to my website (in drawings ->pokemon style characters) for those who are interested.

I'd seriously appreciate it if you could keep your comments about the drawing and not just list what kind of pokemon you imagine them using.

[edit] fixed Aang's arrow tattoos

F.A.Q.

Q: What about _____? Will you draw them?
A: I don't know. Please don't ask.
Q: I shall request/suggest/give idea that you should draw ____.
A: Please don't. I can choose who to draw myself just fine.
Q: You forgot ____!
A: I didn't. They just weren't one of the characters I decided to draw.

Aang's starting pokemon is Pidgey, a Normal-Flying Type. He also played with Bug types and Ghastly growing up, which I'm not sure he would keep or not. He invents the air scooter and gains Abra. However, after the iceburg and therefore throughout the series, his best friend, besides Appa and later Momo, he also is lucky enough to have Mew as the Avatar and as the Last Airbender. Throughout the series, Aang gains support from more Legendaries with the same types Katara, Toph, and Zuko get in their pokemon. For example: Articuno becomes available as soon as he learns a little bit of waterbending, since Articuno is part Ice type.

Katara gets mostly Water, Ice, and Fairy types, next to her brother, which has pure normal types, though not the normal and flying types which follow Aang. Katara, after meeting the Foggy Swamp Tribe, gets familiar with Bulbasaur and other Grass types. However, when on a revenge mission with Zuko, Dark types replace the bloodbender in the place of Fairy types for Katara. After meeting the sword master and forging a meteorite sword, Sokka is also familiar with fighting types. He also likes to play with Fairy types and Poison types, especially after meeting the folks in the Northern Air Temple.

Toph prefers mostly rock types as well as steel types. She's also handy with poison but also claims Ground types from time to time.

Zuko uses Fire and Fighting types most of the time. Electric types, however, were a little tough to come by and didn't gain them until the end of the series. Same thing goes with Dragon types, which Zuko didn't have until after going with Aang to learn the origins of Firebending from the Sun Warriors.
