Q: What about _____? Will you draw him? A: I don't know. Please don't ask. Q: I shall request/suggest/give idea that you should draw ____. A: Please don't. I can choose who to draw myself just fine. Q: You forgot ____! A: I didn't. He just wasn't one of the characters I decided to draw. Q: I must inform you that if we go to semantics, ____ is not quite a prince. A: I know. It's just theme naming with the previous pieces.
Okay so here are Pokemon Princes, a sister (brother) piece to the PokePrincess pictures. This has been hanging around my table for quite a while, but because it wasn't as fun as I had hoped I only drew six characters. It started dangerously looking like it would be buried under other stuff forever so I did a quickie job to finish it. If I ever draw any more Disney males it'll be just to finish the collection, outside that I have little interest in them.
Beast (Prince Adam), from Beauty and the Beast His outfit had a lot going on so I had trouble deciding what to include to the Pokemon design. The pattern on the hat is supposed to be the horns. My favourite part is the stripes on the pants. Aladdin, from Aladdin His outfit gave me little to work with, and I don't exactly like the result either. I think this could have been a lot better if I had put more effort to it. Shang, from Mulan Shang kind of got in just because Mulan is my favourite Disney movie, his design wasn't all that interesting. About the only idea I had with it was to turn the cape into a hoodie. Emperor Kuzco, from Emperor's New Groove I was sure I would hate this movie, but I ended up loving it. The design is probably my least favourite out of these though; I think it's not that easy to recognise with the black pants but they were obligatory because plain red looked just stupid, and it doesn't look too much like a Pokemon outfit to me. I didn't quite know what to do with his awesome hat so I turned it into a bandanna. Prince Naveen, from Princess and the Frog I didn't quite know what outfit I should draw for Naveen because I couldn't decide which one was the most iconic for him (since he spends most of the movie as a frog). I liked all three options so I let the audience to vote instead. The casual one won; I think it's the best looking but it turned out to be quite difficult to pokemonise. But Now I'm more or less pleased with the outcome, the hat that is copied from the reference and the scarf copied from Lucas turned out nicely. Flynn Rider, from Tangled Naveen and Flynn are my favourites out of this batch, but I belive that's mostly because the outfits are practically copied from the originals... The poses turned out the best too. I have decided not to draw bags to the trainers in this series, but Flynn is an exception in the rules since he had one in his original design too.
I would like to see the disney Pokemon Villians
