Ariel's room 2

I still consider the first Ariel's room picture to be one of the best things I've ever drawn, but a lot about it has started to bother me. Aside from a few parts looking hideous it also doesn't fit the idea I have for Ariel's character. The old room was messy for sure, but it doesn't exactly give the vibe of an upper class kid bedroom to me. It could be my room on a bad day, even the model and position of he bed and the shelves above it are identical to mine. And all the furniture is just boring blocks, not something I'd imagine for someone as imaginative as Ariel who has the funds to buy every fancy thing she sees.

So I drew a new one, and this time it has a huge window, fancy bed and whatever that thing is called, divan, aaaaand this is not really what I had in mind either. Furniture still not fancy enough. But I still had a lot of fun.

I had to think a while on who'd be visiting her, and settled for Charlotte la Bouff (from Princess and the Frog). I've written earlier that Jasmine is Ariel's friend, but her thing is kinda that she's not allowed to leave home much I believe, and the other princesses felt a bit random. So is Charlotte too really, but at least I think they'd get along really well, both being easily excitable romantics loaded with money.
